Job summary

Harbor House of Wheeling is seeking a Recreational Services Aide to support planning, implementing and evaluating memory care activities for residents under the supervision of the Recreational Services Director. You will assist with outings, lead groups, and communicate with families while ensuring safety and dignity for residents with memory loss.

A high school diploma and one year of healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of prior experience in a relevant role, preferred.
• At least one year of experience working in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Implements activity programming as planned to meet residents' needs.
• Assists residents to and from activities and outings.
• Maintains rapport with family members and encourages involvement.
• Provides input to assessment and evaluation of resident participation.
• Communicates concerns and responses to supervisor.
• Supports resident needs, preferences, routines, and choices.
• All other duties as assigned.
