Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living is seeking an energetic Activities Assistant to support resident programs in our Salisbury, MD community. The role offers a part-time schedule with Friday–Sunday shifts from 10am to 4:30pm and compensation starting at $16/hour, depending on experience.

You will collaborate with the Director of Activities to create engaging activities, help orient residents, and maintain a compassionate, team-oriented environment that enhances resident well-being and enjoyment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working with adult recreation.

Responsibilities

• Works with Director of Activities to deliver creative and exciting resident activities meeting individual needs and interests within the community
• Assist with orienting all residents to activity programs
• Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make decisions
• Must be able to work under pressure, resolve conflict, prioritize tasks, and follow through with creative ideas
• Foster teamwork with coworkers and have a positive impact on residents and visitors

Activities Assistant Responsibilities include:

• Works with Director of Activities to deliver creative and exciting resident activities meeting individual needs and interests within the community
• Assist with orienting all residents to activity programs
• Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make decisions.Must be a proven professional with compassion, integrity, and honesty
• Has the ability to work under pressure, resolve conflict, prioritize tasks, and follow through with creative ideas
• Have a keen ability to foster teamwork with coworkers, showing initiative in overcoming obstacles, helping others beyond the job responsibilities, and having a positive impact on coworkers, residents, and visitors

Activities Assistant Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience working with adult recreation
