Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living in Salisbury, MD is seeking a dedicated Resident Care Aide for per diem shifts to assist memory‑impaired residents with daily tasks while preserving dignity and independence.

Responsibilities include helping with bathing, grooming and dressing; ensuring residents’ rights; maintaining care records; reporting changes to the supervisor; and encouraging participation in community activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CNA/HHA/PCA certification preferred or as required by law.
• One year caregiving experience preferred.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly required.

• Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights.
• Maintain and document proper records of care.
• Immediately report changes in resident’s condition to the supervisor.
• Promote and encourage residents to participate in community activities.

Education

We are currently seeking an energetic and dedicated Resident Care Aide.

Resident Care Aide Responsibilities include:

• Assist our memory impaired residents to complete tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing while maintaining the residents’ dignity and promoting their independence
• Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights
• Maintain and document proper records of care
• Immediately report changes in resident’s condition to the supervisor:evidence of illness, changes in behavior, personal care needs not being met, medication issues, residents’ whereabouts unknown, etc.
• Promote and encourage residents to participate in community activities

Resident Care Aide Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant-CNA, Home Health Aide-HHA, or Personal Care Aide-PCA certification preferred or as required by law
• One year working in a care giving capacity preferred
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly required
