Job summary

Briarcliff Health and Rehabilitation is seeking an energetic Activity Aide to bring joy, purpose, and connection to our residents daily. You will plan and lead activities, support events, and build relationships with those who call our facility home.

This full-time afternoon/evening role starts at 2 p.m. and ends at 8:30 p.m. No weekend work. Prior elder care experience preferred; CNA is a plus but not required. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Afternoon/Evening schedule: start 2 p.m. and end 8:30 p.m.; no weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with group activities (arts & crafts, music, games, exercise) for residents on the Dementia Unit.
• Provide one-on-one activities for residents who cannot attend group programs.
• Adapt activities for residents with dementia or physical limitations.
• Set up, facilitate, and clean up activity spaces before and after programs.
• Assist with special events, holiday celebrations, and themed dining programs.
• Decorate the facility to create a warm environment.
• Document resident participation accurately in the activity record.
• Escort and assist residents to and from programs safely.
• Support volunteers and community visitors during programs.
• Report resident behavioral changes or concerns to the nurse.

What You\'ll Do

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Prior experience working with elderly or memory care populations
• Certified Nurse Assistant, preferred but NOT required
• Warm, patient, and enthusiastic personality
• Creative, energetic, and able to engage with others
• This is an Afternoon/Evening position - no exceptions will be made. Start by 2 p.m. and end at 830 p.m. No Weekend Work Required
• Previous experience doing activities with older adults preferred.
