Atria Senior Living – Draper Place in Hopedale, MA seeks a Life Guidance/Activities Associate to lead engaging programs for residents. You will develop, coordinate, and document a varied calendar of activities aligned with residents’ interests and needs.

Responsibilities include planning celebrations, collaborating with staff, and ensuring safety and compliance with state regulations. The role emphasizes teamwork, compassion, and helping residents thrive in daily living.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or equivalent
• 1–2 years experience with adult population developing/implementing activities or training
• Working knowledge of recreational therapy methods and their application to residents’ activity/leisure needs (Alzheimer’s/Dementia)
• State regulations require applicable certification(s)

Responsibilities

• Lead Life Guidance programs and develop service plans.
• Provide diversified recreational activities with supervision as needed.
• Involve Life Guidance staff in daily program planning and activities of daily living.
• Plan individual birthday celebrations for residents.
• Develop programs for residents including room-bound residents if needed.
• Engage and motivate residents to participate in activities.
• Greet new residents and include them in activities with others of similar interests.
• Assist in planning parties and decorating the community for seasons/holidays.
• Support census-building initiatives and maintain activity records as required by state law.
