Columbia Cottage in Palmyra, MO is seeking a compassionate Activities Coordinator for our Assisted Living and Memory Care residents. The ideal candidate will design engaging programs that support dementia care goals and enhance daily life.

You will collaborate with the care team, track participation, and tailor activities to individual abilities. A High School Diploma is required and Activity Director Certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a senior living environment, especially with Memory Care.
• Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's disease; understanding of therapeutic approaches.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with residents, families, and staff.
• Creativity and enthusiasm for developing engaging activities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program tailored for Assisted Living and Memory Care.
• Plan and coordinate therapeutic and recreational activities to promote cognitive, physical, and social well-being.
• Collaborate with the care team to tailor activities to individual needs.
• Maintain records of participation and regularly evaluate program effectiveness.
• Foster a positive, supportive atmosphere and encourage resident involvement.
