Job summary

Columbia Cottage seeks a compassionate Activities Coordinator to design and lead engaging programs for seniors in Assisted Living and Memory Care. You will tailor activities to individual needs, focusing on cognitive stimulation and social engagement, with a special emphasis on residents with memory impairments.

Ideal candidates have prior memory care experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for creating meaningful, fun activities that enhance quality of life.

Qualifications

• Experience in a senior living environment, specifically Memory Care.
• Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's disease; therapeutic approaches to support memory impairments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creativity and enthusiasm for developing engaging activities.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program tailored to Assisted Living and Memory Care residents.
• Plan and coordinate therapeutic and recreational activities promoting cognitive and physical well-being.
• Collaborate with the care team to tailor activities to individual resident needs.
• Maintain records of participation and regularly evaluate program effectiveness.
• Foster a positive atmosphere encouraging resident involvement and community.
