Job summary

NHC Place St. Peters Memory Care is seeking an Activities Director to lead the activities program, engage residents, and plan meaningful daily experiences for our seniors in Saint Peters, MO.

The ideal candidate will hold an associate's degree (or two years of college) and have experience in long-term care activities and memory care. You will supervise staff, coordinate volunteers, and ensure compliance with care standards in a compassionate environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Satisfactory completion of two years of college.
• Two years of experience in long term care as it relates to activities and memory care.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Activities team and develop and implement a well-rounded Activities program for all residents, including evenings and weekends.
• Timely completion of assessments, care plans and associated paperwork.
• Facilitating monthly Resident Council meetings.
• Supervising activities assistants including training, scheduling, evaluation, etc.
• Managing the center volunteer program including recruitment, training, scheduling and recognition.
• Ensuring that all local, State and Federal guidelines regarding programming are met.
• Partnering with other departments to support marketing efforts in the community.
• Other duties as assigned.
