Columbia Cottage Assisted Living is seeking an Activities Coordinator to lead engaging programs for residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care. The role centers on planning, implementing, and evaluating activities that enhance quality of life for seniors, including those with memory impairments.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for senior living, strong communication skills, and the creativity to design meaningful activities that promote cognitive and social engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and implementing activities for seniors, including memory care.
• Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease and therapeutic approaches.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program tailored to residents in both Assisted Living and Memory Care.
• Plan and coordinate a variety of therapeutic and recreational activities to promote cognitive stimulation, physical well-being, and social engagement.
• Collaborate with the care team to understand individual needs and adjust activities accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records of residents' participation and regularly evaluate the effectiveness of the program.
• Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere that encourages resident involvement and a sense of community.

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Activities Coordinator to join our team and focus on our Assisted Living and Memory Care residents. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with seniors, particularly those with memory impairments, and will be dedicated to creating a stimulating and nurturing environment. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program tailored to the needs and preferences of residents in both Assisted Living and Memory Care.


• Plan and coordinate a variety of therapeutic and recreational activities to promote cognitive stimulation, physical well-being, and social engagement.


• Collaborate with the care team to understand the individual needs and abilities of each resident and adjust activities accordingly.


• Maintain accurate records of residents' participation in activities and regularly evaluate the effectiveness of the program.


• Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere that encourages resident involvement and a sense of community.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a senior living environment, specifically with residents in Memory Care.


• Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's disease, as well as an understanding of therapeutic approaches to support individuals with memory impairments.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff.


• Creativity and enthusiasm for developing engaging and meaningful activities.


• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.

Education and Certification

• High School Diploma or equivalent required


• Activity Director Certified preferred

Schedule

• Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
