Otterbein is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant for Memory Care to plan and run cultural, educational, and leisure activities for residents. You will also assist with transportation and help develop the monthly activity calendar.

The role requires planning off-campus trips, Lifelong Learning opportunities, and engaging residents in programs while maintaining flexibility for evening and weekend events. Qualifications include a 90-hour Activity Training Certificate, COTA, and an Ohio driver’s

Qualifications

• Education: Associates degree in gerontology or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: 90-hour Activity Training Certificate; COTA; valid Ohio driver's license with good driving record.
• Experience: 1 year in activities/programs/event planning; multi-tasking; able to work independently; computer literate; strong communication with diverse residents.
• Must have a flexible schedule for some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate activities.
• Plan Lifelong Learning opportunities for residents on campus and trips to venues.
• Plan off campus trips for independent living residents (day trips, overnight trips).
• Offer educational opportunities for residents which may involve presenting programs.
