Job summary

Ohio Living Ganzhorn Suites is seeking an Memory Care Activities Assistant to create and oversee an enrichment activities program for residents in a memory care setting. The role involves planning, conducting, and coordinating activities that address spiritual, physical, social, and psychosocial needs, with a focus on person-centered care.

Responsibilities include leading activities, assisting residents with daily living tasks, and ensuring a respectful, home-like environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year activities experience is preferred.
• One year of job-related experience in a senior living environment is preferred.
• Two years of experience as STNA/NA is preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an enrichment activities program for residents to meet spiritual, physical, social and psychosocial needs.
• Conduct activities and encourage residents to attend activities of interest.
• Maintain equipment supplies for regular activities and coordinate with other departments as needed.
• Lead small group presentations and assist volunteers.
• Provide care and assist residents with activities of daily living, in line with resident plans.
