Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates degree in hospitality, event planning, or related discipline required.
• Two (2) years of event planning experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Computer literate and proficient with MS Office; ability to use proprietary software in administration of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan events by reviewing contracts and coordinating with Funeral Director for clarifications.
• Schedule internal resources including space, equipment, and attendants to fit event size.
• Contact and schedule vendors, communicating expectations, budget, and timeline.
• Manage services arrangements implementation (visitation, funeral, reception, or graveside) per contract.
• Obtain and inspect vendor products and address issues; ensure compliance with pricing and standards.
• Communicate setup instructions to staff for event execution and post-event wrap-up.
