Job summary

Repligen in Marlborough, MA seeks a hands-on Scientist II to advance next-generation ultrafiltration and microfiltration membranes for bioprocessing. You will drive concept-to-commercialization work, own experimental programs, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, and Supply Chain to deliver high-quality products.

The role emphasizes cross-functional teamwork, rigorous validation, and ownership of results in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS/BS with extensive membrane development and process experience.
• Experience with polymeric membrane formation and separation technologies.
• Experience scaling up processes and transferring to manufacturing.
• Familiarity with Stage-Gate development, verification, and validation.
• Knowledge of quality/manufacturing tools and statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop ultrafiltration and microfiltration membranes and manufacturing processes from concept to commercialization.
• Lead process development, design verification, validation, scale-up, and technology transfer.
• Evaluate formulations and technologies to improve performance and manufacturability.
• Design and analyze lab and pilot-scale experiments to support project goals.
• Support validation using DFMEA, PFMEA, IQ/OQ/PQ, control plans, and process verification.
• Prepare technical documentation including reports, studies, tech transfer packages, and SOPs.
