Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Washington is seeking a Membership Service Representative in Reston, VA to serve as the front-line resource for branch programs, membership sales, renewals, and information for members and guests.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, detail orientation, and the ability to manage data entry and basic computer tasks. Hours include weekday evenings and weekend shifts, with comprehensive employee benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong customer service skills and good judgement.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• PC and database data entry skills; quick learning of new software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the key resource for branch programs, activities, merchandise, and general information.
• Perform front desk duties: guest tours, new memberships, renewals, cancellations, and information by phone or in person.
• Control facility access, enforce guest pass policy, and handle program registration.
• Support Easy to Enroll process and basic computer entry; build engaging member relationships.
