Job summary

City of Shoreview, MN is seeking friendly Guest Service staff for our busy Community Center. This role focuses on selling memberships, supporting the Service Desk, and conducting facility tours in a fast-paced environment serving over 500,000 visitors annually.

Training is provided to new employees. Shifts include weekday evenings and weekends, with up to 16 hours per week. A free Community Center membership is offered as a perk.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older, and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a diverse guest base.

Responsibilities

• Educate potential members regarding membership features; provide tours and schedule appointments.
• Maintain accurate records and confirm membership information.
• Assist at the Service Desk, troubleshoot guest issues, and provide high level of service.
• Conduct building walk-throughs to ensure guest safety and policy adherence.
• Operate a computer and cash register; reconcile cash using standard procedures.
• Assist with banquet/meeting room setups and other duties as assigned.
