Job summary

Funders Together to End Homelessness seeks a Director of Membership and Programs to advance its philanthropic network dedicated to ending homelessness in the United States.

You will lead membership engagement, design programs, coordinate events, and partner with communications and networks teams to maximize impact and learning across the movement. This role requires travel and strong relationship skills.

• Experience creating and managing programming for a philanthropic audience.
• Knowledge of homelessness or human services.
• Self-starter with initiative, autonomy, and drive; able to work independently.

• Thoughtful and insightful—ability to anticipate and reconcile diverse perspectives.
• Flexible and dynamic—can adapt to changing circumstances smoothly.
• Keen attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
• Ability and willingness to travel (est. 30-40% time).
• Nice-to-Have: Experience with networks or membership organizations, working in virtual teams, identifying revenue opportunities, managing budgets, and donor management tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in research and scoping information applicable to members in homelessness, housing, or related areas.
• Oversee onboarding and orientation for new members.
• Collaborate with Director of Communications to amplify members’ work and learning within the movement.
• Plan, manage, analyze, and report on evaluations for all FTEH programs.
• Lead efforts to track, assess, and report on member engagement and satisfaction.
• Manage feedback collection and ensure maximum value to members across programs and online resources.
• Design and execute membership-wide learnings including meetings, webinars, and conference calls.
• Develop and promote online resources in partnership with the Director of Communications.
• Develop content for annual Funders Forum and Funders Institute.
• Expand partnerships with national and regional philanthropy organizations to engage members.
• Maximize participation and satisfaction with programs, events, and activities.
