Job summary
Portal Innovations LLC is seeking a hands-on Sales Manager – Membership & Growth for Ocean State Labs, powered by Portal. You will drive the full membership revenue, from outreach to signed agreement, coordinating with the Executive Director and Lab Operations to deliver an exceptional onboarding and ongoing support experience.
You will nurture relationships with scientists, startups, labs, and ecosystem partners, closing complex deals and expanding member value across the Rhode Island and New
Qualifications
- 2+ years in sales or business development in life sciences or incubator environments.
- Track record of closing complex, consultative deals.
- Existing network in RI or New England startup ecosystem.
- Science degree or bench experience a plus.
- Strong communicator across outreach, pitches, or lab tours.
- CRM proficiency and disciplined pipeline management.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Own full membership sales cycle from outreach to close.
- Build pipeline of science-driven startups.
- Maintain relationships with VCs, accelerators, universities, ecosystem partners.
- Support member growth and retention.
- Partner with Executive Director and Lab Operations for onboarding.
- Represent Portal at industry events in RI and New England.
