Job summary

The California Apartment Association seeks a Marketing Director to expand membership, boost participation in programs and services, and strengthen value for rental housing providers across California. The role focuses on translating advocacy, compliance resources, education, and business services into a compelling value proposition for independent rental property owners and management companies.

The position offers flexibility to be based in Sacramento or remote, with a preference for candidates

Qualifications

• Significant professional experience in marketing, membership development, customer acquisition, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute measurable marketing campaigns.
• Experience with digital marketing, email marketing, search marketing, social media, audience segmentation, and marketing analytics.
• Strong writing and communications skills with the ability to translate complex services into clear customer benefits.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to substantially increase CAA membership among independent rental property owners throughout California.
• Develop and execute marketing strategies that increase member and nonmember awareness, participation, and utilization of CAA programs and services.
• Develop a coordinated marketing program to support CAA management company members and strengthen their ability to communicate the value of CAA membership to their property-owner clients.
• Develop an annual CAA marketing plan with specific objectives, strategies, budgets, timelines, and performance measures.
