YMCA seeks a Membership Director to lead the membership team in driving new membership sales and achieving management-set goals while delivering an exceptional member experience that promotes retention.

The role emphasizes strong interpersonal skills, training others in sales, and building robust member relationships. Excellent verbal communication and public speaking are essential, with fluency in English and proficiency with new systems.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
• 3-5 years of member services/sales experience with strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience training others in sales, prospecting and cultivation preferred.
• Friendly, approachable demeanor with the ability to understand and appreciate the value and importance of every member and customer interaction.
• Team player who works with a sense of urgency to empower others in achieving set goals.
• Strong networking and relationship building skills, friendly and approachable.
• Excellent verbal skills required; articulate, engaging and comfortable with public speaking and presentations to groups/individuals.
• Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
• Advanced computer knowledge with the ability to learn new systems.
• Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire.
