Job summary

YMCA of Pueblo is seeking a Membership Manager on Duty to oversee membership operations, drive sales and retention, and ensure a welcoming, safe environment during evening and weekend shifts.

The role focuses on customer service, staff support, policy enforcement, and coordinating with front desk and program staff to maintain high standards. Responsibilities include promoting benefits, tours, handling inquiries, and leading a membership project.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2 years of management or supervisory experience in customer service, sales, or a related field.
• Ability to work Evenings and Weekends
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
• Experience in membership services, sales, or front desk operations preferred
• Excellent communication skills (in-person, phone, and email)
• Ability to handle difficult situations professionally and calmly
• Knowledge of facility policies and procedures or willingness to learn
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Lead membership operations during assigned shifts, providing support and guidance to staff.
• Active promotion of membership benefits, conduct facility tours, and develop relationships to drive sales and retention.
• Provide outstanding customer service through in-person, phone, and email interactions.
• Ensure staff in various departments uphold service standards and address performance concerns as needed.
• Handle and resolve membership concerns and escalate when necessary.
• Monitor facility cleanliness, safety, and welcoming environment for members and guests.
• Assist with membership promotions, events, and community engagement initiatives.
• Maintain membership records and transactions, ensuring accurate tracking of interactions.
