Job summary

New Jersey Recreation and Park Association seeks a Member Services Manager to lead the membership program. You will act as the primary point of contact for members, maintain accurate records, and drive retention, recruitment, and engagement initiatives while coordinating with the Executive Director and Education and Events Manager.

The role requires managing membership lifecycle, reports, online directories, and communications, with a schedule Monday–Friday and occasional events.

Qualifications

• Experience managing detailed records, databases, deadlines, and member service responsibilities.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, follow procedures, and deliver accurate work on time.
• Sound judgment and discretion with member, organizational, and financial information.
• Ability to obtain the CPRP credential within two years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for membership questions, renewals, and support.
• Maintain complete membership records and payment status.
• Manage the full membership cycle from applications to renewals and onboarding.
• Develop calendars for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual duties.
• Conduct database reviews and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Prepare membership reports and analyses for leadership while protecting member data.
• Manage online directory, forms, and website content related to members.
• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, outreach, surveys, and engagement initiatives.
• Support districts, committees, and special sections with membership data and communications.
• Build professional relationships with members and partner organizations.
• Create and distribute membership communications for newsletters, campaigns, and social channels.
• Process registrations and provide support for programs and events with Education and Events Manager.
• Support conference registration, attendee communications, and on-site service.
• Maintain financial and administrative records related to memberships.
