Job summary

The YMCA of Southeastern North Carolina is seeking a dedicated Membership Director to lead Member Services at Nir and Midtown branches in the Wilmington area. You will recruit, train and supervise staff, oversee billing, contracts, and memberships, and help implement procedures to meet strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous supervisory experience in member service.
• YMCA or other non-profit experience preferred.
• Excellent personal computer skills.
• Experience with membership software Daxko Operations.
• Highly attentive to detail.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.

Responsibilities

• Assists in creating a member-focused culture and models relationship-building skills in all interactions.
• Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules and directs administrative support personnel for Member Services.
• Manages payroll approval and assists with department budget monitoring.
• Provides leadership to membership staff across Nir and Midtown branches and ensures consistent operations.
• Audits membership files for accuracy and handles rentals and contracts for the Wilmington Area.
• Drives member engagement and supports annual fundraising campaigns.
• Participates in staff meetings and related Member Services activities.
