Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–12 months experience in retail or financial environment with cash handling preferred.
• Capable of providing exceptional service while building rapport with members and prospective members.
• Excellent communication skills for positive interactions with members.
• Ability to confidently make recommendations and referrals for credit union products and services.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks daily.
• Ability to handle cash with speed and accuracy.
• Exhibit ownership, accountability, and good judgment.
• Understanding of computer systems and ability to acclimate quickly.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and deliver high-quality member service, directing to the appropriate person or department as needed.
• Process and verify deposits, withdrawals, purchases, transfers, and payments.
• Balance and manage cash drawer according to procedures.
• Build relationships with members; identify opportunities to support financial needs and make referrals.
• Perform account maintenance (e.g., Instant Issue debit cards, wires, stop payments).
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of credit union products and services.
• Provide accurate referrals and smooth hand-offs to teammates.
• Promote a positive image to members and the community.
• Understand applicable state and federal laws (BSA, AML, elder financial abuse).
• Meet MAPS and branch goals; stay flexible to cover business hours and travel as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
