Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a Member Services Supervisor to lead a dynamic front desk team and enhance member experience at the Y. You will recruit, train, and schedule staff, and collaborate to deliver welcoming service that reflects the YMCA mission.

Qualifications

• College degree in a related field with 1+ years of supervising and in a sales environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, record keeping, and computer skills.
• Ability to work well with volunteers, employees, board members and members.
• Ability to operate all office equipment.
• Exhibit strong leadership skills; possess a passion for member service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, schedule and evaluation of staff.
• Build a committed staff team that reflects the mission and values of the YMCA.
• Assist with staff trainings and orientations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of service through staff recognition, satisfaction and retention programs.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Assist with creating member-centered work culture and addressing member needs.
• Assist with new member orientations, shepherd’s program, and member appreciation days.
• Help coordinate facility schedule, lobby boards/displays and materials.
• Provide back up for the front desk staff and clerical duties.
• Assist with scheduling and conduct desk staff meetings; payroll/ accounts payable support as needed.
• Consult with members to direct them into appropriate wellness programs and record keeping.
• Provide friendly environment for members using fitness and wellness programs.
• Learn member names and encourage regular exercise routines.
• Follow up with members to schedule orientations and encourage continued participation.
• Work with staff to accomplish YMCA mission; participate in Annual Campaign as assigned.
