This position is responsible for serving members and guests, maintaining memberservice control, answering member questions, and performing various otherduties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following.
- Greet and serve members and guests
- Greet members (by name) and visitors in a positive and professionalmanner as a representative of the YMCA; ensures the security of thefacility enforcing policy regarding visitors
- Handle and solve member concerns
- Answer the telephone in a prompt, courteous manner - three ring ruleapplies
- No one left "on hold" for more than 30 seconds without personalcontact
- Provide all needed information on phone messages taken and givecorrect information to callers
- Member sign-up and program registration all done correctly and in atimely manner
- Enter receipt information correctly for membership and programs
- Be accountable for all money collected during your shift. Money andreceipt total should match
- Perform routine filing and copying as needed
- Maintain clean and professional appearance for self and facility. Wearstaff shirt. Wear nametag. (shorts and skirts of moderate length, no bluejeans)
- Understand and be able to apply emergency procedures
- Opens and closes center as necessary. Ensures that buildingisempty and secured when closing at night.
- Must be able to work flexible hours including some weekends.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent minimum, degree pursuit/currently employedin service industry preferred
- Basicknowledge and use of computers
- High degree of accuracy with providedinformation
- Multi-task oriented
Certifications and Trainings
- CPR, First Aid, AED or within 30 days
- YMCA Safety Trainings
