Job summary

Central California Alliance for Health (the Alliance) is seeking a temporary Member Services representative for the Merced office. The role centers on frontline phone support for members and providers and coordinating non-medical transportation benefits.

The assignment runs September 2026 through December 2026, primarily on-site for the first 3 months. After that period, remote work may be possible 1–2 days per week depending on business needs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of: Principles and practices of customer service.
• Windows-based PC system and Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and database systems.
• Ability to: Answer telephone calls promptly and communicate complex processes in simple language.
• Utilize a variety of computer systems, including Alliance systems and external websites and databases.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; minimum two years in customer service in health care or related field.

Responsibilities

• Act as the frontline customer service representative within the Member Services Department, providing assistance to members and providers primarily by phone
• Facilitate and coordinate non-medical transportation benefits for members
• Perform other duties as assigned
