Job summary

YMCA in Bourbonnais, IL is seeking a part-time Member Services Representative to deliver exceptional service to members and guests while promoting memberships and programs. You will monitor facility access, conduct tours, and help participants connect with YMCA staff and resources.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 or older (exceptions may be made with director approval).
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required within 60 days of hire.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Previous customer service, sales, or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of computers.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to members, guests, and program participants.
• Monitor facility access through membership scans and Raptor database searches.
• Conduct interviews and/or tours responsive to prospective members' needs; engage to sell memberships and complete program registrations.
• Respond to emergencies in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures; complete incident and accident reports as required.
• Build relationships with members, helping them connect with YMCA programs and staff.
• Handle and resolve membership concerns, informing supervisors of unusual situations or unresolved issues.
• Apply all YMCA policies regarding member services, ensuring adherence to the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
• Maintain accurate records of membership and program transactions, including cash and credit card payments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
