North Star Community Credit Union in Willow City, North Dakota is seeking a Member Services Representative dedicated to providing member-focused service, assisting with financial transactions, and delivering information on various credit union products. You will greet members, process transactions, and maintain detailed member records with accuracy and professionalism.
The ideal candidate will have at least a high school education or GED, along with excellent interpersonal skills. Emphasis is placed on courtesy, tact, and diplomacy while assisting members.

The Credit Union's profits are returned to the members in the form of better services, accounts, and favorable rates on savings and loans.
Provide member focused service.
Greet and welcome members to NSCCU in a courteous, professional and timely manner. Represent the credit union to members in a courteous and professional manner and provide prompt, efficient and accurate service in the processing of transactions. Direct members to appropriate department for specific information and service.
Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed and maintain member records according to NSCCU Policy and Procedures.
Train on and develop knowledge of credit union products and services, including robbery procedures.
Balances cash drawer and daily transactions. Research and reports discrepancies to the supervisor.
Cross-sells Credit Union services.
Provide in-person and by-telephone general service-related information concerning credit union products and policies. Respond to email or other electronic requests submitted by members.
Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks including answering the telephone, scanning, filing, and computer input.
Basic account research.
Process, close and disburse loans for members that are not present.
Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Experience Up to six months of similar or related experience.
Education A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
Other Skills Ten key calculator and computer keyboard by touch. Must be good with detail to deal with numbers and names.
