Job summary

North Star Community Credit Union in Minot, North Dakota is seeking a friendly Member Services Representative to handle everyday financial transactions with accuracy and provide confidential, professional service to members in person, by phone, or online.

You will welcome members, process deposits and withdrawals, open and maintain accounts, balance your cash drawer, assist with online access, and identify opportunities to recommend products that support members’ financial wellbeing.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of customer service, cash handling, or related experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• High attention to detail when working with financial transactions.
• Ability to communicate professionally and maintain confidentiality.
• Comfortable using computers and ten-key calculators.
• Ability to build relationships and provide solutions that benefit members.

Responsibilities

• Welcome members and provide exceptional service in person, by phone, and electronically.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and other financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Provide account information and assist members with questions regarding credit union products and services.
• Open and maintain member accounts, including assisting members who are not physically present.
• Process and disburse member loans.
• Balance your cash drawer and daily transactions while researching any discrepancies.
• Assist members with online access and general account service needs.
• Identify opportunities to recommend products or services that may benefit the member.
• Maintain accurate member records and follow all credit union policies and procedures.
• Support branch operations through administrative tasks such as answering phones, scanning, filing, and data entry.
