Job summary

SECU seeks a Member Services Officer to deliver exceptional member service, process transactions, and support consumer lending within assigned limits. The role requires knowledge of cash operations, wire processing, and notary duties.

You will assist members with account openings, disclosures, and referrals to advisory services. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in our credit union environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree or CCUE preferred.
• Complete Consumer Lending Program (CLP) and pass CLP exam.
• Ability to open and maintain diverse member accounts and assist in lending.
• Strong communication and confidentiality with member information.
• Proficient in cash handling, wires, and notary duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform account maintenance and open all account types for new members.
• Assist and approve loans within assigned limits; refer outside limits to supervisor.
• Process foreign and domestic wires and tax-advantaged accounts.
• Balance vaults and ATMs as directed; verify daily deposits.
• Educate members on products and provide referrals for advisory services.
