Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years retail sales and/or customer service experience.
• Experience as teller and/or member service specialist and/or personal banker.
• Ability to cross-sell credit union products.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Use consultative selling techniques to analyze and provide solutions for members’ financial needs and to make referrals to specialized areas based on needs.
• Proactively make outbound sales calls to inform members about financial services that meet needs and deepen relationships.
• Open new membership accounts and business accounts; perform transactions on member accounts.
• Represent the credit union at community events and be available to local businesses when asked.
• Maintain knowledge of consumer and small business deposit accounts and lending products including reading credit reports.
• Present a professional image and work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
