Job summary

NuMark Credit Union is seeking a Member Service Specialist to build strong member relationships and provide exceptional customer service while meeting financial needs. The role includes opening accounts, cross-selling products, and handling cash with accuracy in a Monday–Saturday schedule.

A solid emphasis is placed on confidentiality and member-focused service. With a focus on growth, the successful candidate will use open-ended questions to guide members through their financial life-cycle,

Qualifications

• Ability to upsell and cross-sell products and services.
• Desire to develop sales skills.
• Desire for continual professional development.
• Effective communication skills.
• High school diploma.
• Cash handling experience.
• Willingness and ability to substitute at other local branches if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Build member relationships by providing exceptional service and using open-ended questions to determine where they are in their financial life-cycle.
• Achieve sales goals by understanding member situations/aspirations, offer products to meet needs, and strive to exceed expectations.
• Open various types of accounts and communicate with other departments to cross-sell products such as loans, credit cards, and deposits.
• Accurately handle cash and balance cash drawers.
• Ensure confidentiality of member information in every situation.
• Routinely maintain accounts according to member requests.
