Job summary

The YMCA of the Triangle Area in Raleigh, NC is seeking a part-time Desk Attendant to greet members and process point-of-sale transactions. Under the supervision of the Membership Engagement Director, you will ensure a welcoming experience for members and guests at the facility.

This role requires standing for extended periods, enforcing pool and facility rules, and using membership software to complete sales orders.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• 1-2 years experience in customer service preferred.
• Professional, welcoming disposition to relate well to customers.
• Ability to relate to diverse groups in the community.
• Motivated, problem solver with a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and with others.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with members and provide excellent customer service.
• Use membership database software to complete sales orders and transactions.
• Enforce pool and facility rules consistently and fairly.
• Stand for extended periods to greet and serve members.
• Maintain basic business processes and intermediate database skills.
• Flexibly schedule to cover evenings and weekends.
