Job summary

Self-Help Services Corporation is seeking a Member Service Representative to join our team in Durham, NC. The role focuses on delivering exceptional member service, opening accounts, processing deposits and payments, and promoting credit union products.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. Prior cash handling and customer service experience are beneficial, with some travel and weekend coverage possible.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial institutions or customer service preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiate conversations to identify member needs.
• Maintain and enhance member account relationships with quality service.
• Process deposits, loan payments, payrolls, and transfers accurately.
• Handle cash withdrawals and daily cash balance.
• Open new memberships with accuracy and compliance.
• Refer loans and other credit union products to members.
• Support branch growth goals and respond to inquiries promptly.
