YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City is seeking a part-time Member Services Assistant to serve members, answer questions, process payments, and provide program information at the front desk.

This role emphasizes friendly customer service, accurate cash handling, CPR/AED/First Aid readiness, and exceptional communications to help create a welcoming environment for all.

Qualifications

• Must have CPR, AED, O2 and First Aid certifications.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Strong verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills; customer service experience.
• Basic computer skills and accuracy; able to use a cash register.

Responsibilities

• Provide member services, tours, and information; assist with guest registration and payments.
• Answer phones, direct inquiries, and provide program information.
• Maintain facility and assist with various clerical tasks.
• Uphold YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
• Attend staff meetings and stay off personal devices during shifts.
• Develop positive relationships with members, donors and volunteers.

Position Description

This position is responsible for serving members and guests, maintaining member service control, answering the telephone, answering member questions and performing various clerical duties.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Provide member services such as membership tours, answer and direct phone calls, guest registration, provide program information, accept payment/cash register/receipts, schedule appointments, rent lockers, stock and distribute towels.
• Serve as liaison between members and program supervisors.
• Handle and solve member inquiries, concerns and complaints.
• Monitor facility as required.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
• Accept and demonstrate the positive character values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
• Attend Scheduled Staff Meeting.
• Stay off all personal electronic items; cell phones, i pads,
• Develop meaningful and sustainable relationships with members, donors and volunteers.

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Must be certified in PR/CPR, AED, O2, and First Aid. (Training provided by the Y, if needed)
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Have strong verbal interpersonal and communication skills, experience in a service-oriented environment, computer skills and accuracy.
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
