Job summary

CoastHills Credit Union is seeking a Member Services Officer 1 in California to help members with day-to-day banking needs and process transactions. You will promote credit union products and services while ensuring accurate handling of deposits, withdrawals and payments.

The ideal candidate has customer service and cash handling experience, is able to travel to different branches if required, and will complete core competencies certification within six months of employment.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and cash handling in retail or banking.
• Understanding of branch operations and basic lending practices.
• Completion of core competencies certification within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform banking transactions: deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments as directed by procedures.
• Process transaction requests by telephone and mail.
• Explain, promote and cross-sell Credit Union products, services, and programs.
• Assist members in completing forms and documents and respond to inquiries.
• Balance cash and maintain appropriate cash levels.
• Remain current on Credit Union policies, procedures, and services and travel to other branches if required.
