Job summary

CoastHills Credit Union in Santa Maria, CA seeks a Member Services Officer 3 - Operations Specialist to handle member transactions and resolve complex issues. You will assist the Branch Supervisor with daily operations and promote a positive image of the credit union.

The role involves opening/closing accounts, handling vault cash, and cross-selling GAP-like protections during loan processing, while maintaining compliance and service excellence.

Qualifications

• One year of customer service and/or cash handling experience in a retail or banking environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) is highly desirable.
• Ability to learn and apply CoastHills product knowledge and policies.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes membership accounts, trusts, and IRAs, and performs related transactions.
• Performs advanced problem resolution and resolves complex member concerns.
• Maintains vault cash accuracy and conducts related controls.
• Cross-sells CoastHills products during loans and funding processes.
• Ensures compliance with policies and minimizes branch audit exceptions.
• Trains new employees in MSO duties under supervision.
