Job summary

Credit Union 1 is seeking a Member Service Officer to provide friendly, accurate service to members at our Midtown Branch in Alaska. You will help members open and manage accounts, explain products, and support loan processing from application to closing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of six months in financial services, retail, or customer service strongly preferred.
• Consumer loan experience is preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect across a variety of platforms and situations.
• Ability to remain composed and helpful when resolving complex or challenging member issues.
• Proactive, problem-solving approach and a commitment to continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent member service in person and by phone.
• Assist members with opening, maintaining, and closing accounts and suggest products.
• Review transactions within authority; ensure compliance and risk awareness.
• Handle loan origination: interviewing, processing, and documentation through closing.
• Provide notary services and support branch operations and safety.
