Job summary

Credit Union 1 Alaska in Anchorage is seeking a Teller to support members with everyday financial needs and guide them to CU1 tools and services at the Downtown Branch (824 W 8th Ave). You will handle deposits, payments, withdrawals and transfers with accuracy, while delivering warm, member-focused service.

The ideal candidate will communicate clearly, stay calm with difficult members, and embrace the credit union's community values.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least six months of financial institution, cash handling, call center, customer service or sales experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with members.
• Ability to communicate one-on-one and in a group setting.
• Remain calm when helping difficult members.
• Positive attitude and proactively present credit union products and services.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Compliance with BSA/AML and OFAC regulations.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ownership of transactions processed and provides excellent service with every member interaction.
• Assists members with a variety of transactions including deposits, payments, withdrawals, and transfers in a confidential and professional manner.
• Resolves member account issues.
• Maintains documentation for all member transactions.
• Educates members on technologies offered by the credit union (ATM/ITM, DocuSign, Online Access, Mobile Deposit, Bill Pay, Mobile Wallet).
• Explains features and benefits of products and makes recommendations meeting members' needs.
