Liberty Federal Credit Union in Hendersonville, TN is seeking a full-time Member Service Representative/Teller to serve as the primary MSR at the Hendersonville Office. You will handle deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and other teller duties with accuracy, while delivering excellent member service and maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications include a HS diploma or GED, 1–2 years of cash handling, and flexibility to travel to other locations.

Qualifications

• Must have a HS diploma or GED and be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule and travel to other office locations when needed.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and do some heavy lifting.
• Must have 1-2 years of cash handling experience.
• Banking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary MSR and meet member needs with knowledge of company products and services.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, credit card payments, transfers, and shared branching transactions with high accuracy.
• Determine acceptability of negotiable items and place holds on deposited funds when appropriate.
• Identify potential fraud situations and take steps to protect members and the Credit Union.
• Recognize member needs and recommend products/services while maintaining confidentiality and security.
• Balance cash drawer daily and support branch goals and initiatives.
• Assist with night drop, balancing branch cash machines, and safe deposit access.
• Answer member telephone inquiries and greet members entering the branch.
• Complete required compliance training and shred confidential information.

Member Service Representative/Teller

Full Time Clerical HENDERSONVILLE OFFICE, Hendersonville, TN, US

Liberty FCU, a full-service credit union, is seeking a full-fime Member Service Representative/Teller for our Hendersonville Office, located at 580 Soaring Eagle Way, Hendersonville, TN 37075. Candidates must possess excellent member service skills, professionalism and confidentiality. Previous financial institution experience is preferred. The Hendersonville Office hours of operation are Monday through Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Friday 8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., and Saturday 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. If applicable, a two-three week paid training program will be held in Evansville, IN. Approved travel expenses (hotel, meals, mileage, etc) will be included.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Serve as a primary Member Service Representative (MSR).
  • Meet member needs by maintaining appropriate knowledge of all company products and services.
  • Run various member transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, credit card payments, transfers, and shared branching transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Determine acceptability of negotiable items place holds on deposited funds when appropriate.
  • Learn to identify potential fraud situations and take appropriate action to help protect the member and the Credit Union.
  • Learn to recognize member’s needs and recommend appropriate products and services while providing quality member service.
  • Strive to balance cash drawer each day.
  • Strive to meet MSR cross sell goals and work to support all branch goals and initiatives.
  • Assist with processing night drop.
  • Assist in balancing branch cash machines.
  • Assist members in accessing safe deposit boxes.
  • Answer member telephone inquiries.
• Represent the Credit Union to the members in a friendly, positive, and professional manner greeting members as they enter the branch.
• Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of company policies and procedures related to the MSR duties, including security and information security.
• Complete all required compliance training.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality and security when dealing with member information and agree to shred all papers with confidential information.
• Prepare all daily work items for transfer to the appropriate departments.
