Job summary

TruWest Credit Union in Austin, TX is hiring a Teller II level member service professional. You will assist members with deposits, loans, and account information, while opening/closing duties and handling notary tasks.

A strong sales mindset helps drive cross-sell opportunities and referral of investment products. Responsibilities include maintaining accuracy in cash handling, building a personal book of business, and delivering proactive, friendly service to members.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or better.
• Minimum of one year Teller II or related sales experience.
• Strong sales and referral abilities with product knowledge.
• Ability to perform math calculations accurately and balance cash.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and client service.

Responsibilities

• Assist members with TruWest product, service and account information.
• Open/close branch duties, teller tasks, open new accounts and deposits, and process loans.
• Verify deposit applications and approve/decline per policy; build book of business.
• Sell deposit/loan products and refer to investments or mortgages.
• Monitor daily activity and prepare monthly/periodic reports.
• Handle notary and signature guarantee duties when needed.
• Provide spontaneous service excellence and maintain professional image.
