Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Indianapolis in Avon, IN is seeking a Building Supervisor to oversee member interaction and policy enforcement under the Program Director. You will help maintain a positive, safe environment for all participants and guests.

The role requires being 18+, with a preferred high school diploma and strong public-facing skills. Certifications in CPR/AED, First Aid, Safety & Risk Management, and Child Abuse Prevention or the ability to obtain them within 60–90 days are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work well with the public and communicate effectively.
• Experience supervising youth and adult activities.
• Maintain CPR/AED, First Aid, Safety & Risk Management, and Child Abuse Prevention certifications or obtain within 60–90 days.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Program Director, act as liaison between members and staff.
• Maintain positive interpretation and enforcement of facility policies, rules, and guidelines.
• Ensure a safe, welcoming environment for YMCA members, guests, and participants.
• Supervise youth and adult activities as assigned.
