Job summary

YMCA of Greater Indianapolis in Avon, IN is seeking a part-time Lifeguard to oversee pool safety and respond to emergencies in line with YMCA and American Heart Association guidelines. Under the Aquatic Coordinator and Head Guard, you will perform CPR/First Aid, pass required lifeguard tests, and assist with program activities for a diverse group of participants.

Qualifications

• Must have current YMCA Lifeguard certificate or equivalent.
• Must have current First Aid and CPR Healthcare Provider certifications.
• Ability to pass basic lifeguard skills test including swimming 500 yards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe pool environment and monitor all participants.
• Respond to emergencies and perform CPR/First Aid per guidelines.
• Support aquatics programming and assist with scheduling as needed.
