Job summary

The Fishers YMCA in Indiana is seeking a part-time Building Supervisor under the direction of the Program Director. You will be the liaison between members and staff, enforcing facility policies and maintaining a positive, safe environment for members, guests and participants.

Responsibilities include leading by example, guiding members to programs, assisting with tours, and ensuring security. The role requires 18+ with HS diploma preferred and CPR/AED/First Aid or ability to obtain within 60–90

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years.
• A high school diploma, or its equivalent, is preferred.
• Ability to work well with the public, have good communication and public relations skills, and skills in supervision of youth and adult activities.
• Maintain current certifications in CPR AED, First Aid, Safety & Risk Management, Child Abuse Prevention and New Employee Orientation or the ability to obtain such training within 60-90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Designated as a First Responder in emergencies.
• Enforce YMCA rules and promote safety for members and guests.
• Provide guidance to members in locating programs or activities.
• Assist with tours and welcome new members for Wellness appointments.
• Monitor facility safety and security; complete shift checklists and report concerns.
• Attend department trainings and meetings.
• Check emergency doors and ensure they are locked and alarmed.
• Assist with other projects or activities as assigned.
