Job summary

Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union in Bemidji, MN is seeking a Member Consultant to assist members across channels and recommend consumer lending and account products. You will support self-serve education, transactions, budgets, and account maintenance while delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service or professional experience
• 1+ years of consumer lending experience preferred
• Ability to navigate and resolve complex issues
• Ability to achieve call goals set by leadership
• Basic knowledge of credit and regulatory policy as it relates to consumer lending
• Ability to cross-sell products and services
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Team collaboration and independence
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Proficient with multiple computer systems

Responsibilities

• Open membership savings, checking, CDs, IRAs and other accounts or products
• Provide information and recommendations, directing to appropriate person
• Assist members with consumer lending questions and applications
• Identify member needs and recommend suitable products and services
• Determine loan types and options available
• Analyze financial situation and credit to approve loans within limits
• Review loan documents for completeness and accuracy per policy
• Approve loans within limits; refer outside limits to management
• Help members create personal budgets to reach goals
• Proactively reach out with products to meet member goals
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently
• Educate members on self-serve options
• Execute wire or ACH transfers
• Issue debit, credit and gift cards
• Troubleshoot card and online banking issues
• Balance cash drawer and branch vault, log currency
• Other duties as assigned
