Job summary

Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union in Shakopee, MN is seeking a Member Consultant who assists members across face-to-face, drive-thru, phones, and digital channels to understand needs and recommend consumer lending and account products. The role includes opening accounts, guiding transactions, and educating on self-serve options.

Candidates should have 1+ year of customer service experience and strong verbal/written communication.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service or professional experience working with people
• 1+ years of consumer lending experience preferred
• Ability to navigate and resolve complex issues and situations
• Ability to achieve call goals set by leadership
• Basic knowledge of credit and regulatory policy as it relates to consumer lending

Responsibilities

• Open membership savings, checking, CDs, IRAs and other accounts/products
• Provide information and recommendations to members concerning services and products
• Assist members with consumer lending questions and applications
• Analyze member financials and credit reports to determine loan approval suitability
• Review loan agreements and gather required documentation for policy compliance
• Approve loans within limits or refer to management for approvals
• Partner with members to understand financial goals and create personal budgets
• Assist members with processing transactions and using self-serve options
• Execute wire or ACH transfers and issue debit/credit/gift cards
• Balance cash drawer and maintain branch security logs
• Other duties as assigned
