Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union in Bemidji, MN is seeking a Member Consultant to engage members across face-to-face and digital channels. You will recommend consumer lending and account products while guiding members through self-serve education, transactions, budgets, and account maintenance.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, problem solving, and collaboration with teammates to meet member goals, with a regular on-site schedule in Bemidji.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service or professional experience
• 1+ years of consumer lending experience preferred
• Ability to resolve complex issues and meet call goals
• Basic knowledge of credit and regulatory policy in consumer lending
• Ability to cross-sell products and services to members
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in navigating multiple systems and basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Open savings, checking, CDs, IRAs and other accounts or products
• Provide information and recommendations on services and products
• Assist members with consumer lending questions and applications
• Assess member needs and recommend suitable products
• Analyze financial situations and credit reports for loan decisions
• Review loan agreements and collect required documentation
• Approve loans within set limits or refer outside limits
• Help members create personal budgets to meet goals
• Promote self-serve options and educate members
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently
• Troubleshoot account-related questions and issues
• Manage cash drawer and branch vault with proper logs
• Other duties as assigned
