Qualifications

• Underwriting-related skills such as reviewing applications, assessing risk, and applying lending guidelines consistently. This role does not have underwriting authority.
• Prior experience in banking or credit unions, attention to detail, proficiency with standard office and banking software, and a high school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education in finance or business is a plus).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate loan applications from members and determine eligibility based on lending policies.
• Gather and verify documentation to support loan underwriting reviews.
• Submit underwriting reviews and communicate loan terms and decisions to members.
• Complete liens and ensure lien recording and satisfaction for mortgages and consumer loans.
• Answer member questions and provide guidance on loan options.
• Collaborate with branch staff to deliver timely and accurate lending services.
• Maintain compliance with lending policies and regulations; update member records as needed.
• Support overall lending operations to meet service and growth goals.
