Job summary

Madison Area YMCA is seeking a Part Time Member Services Representative in Madison, NJ. You will staff the Welcome Center, assist members with registrations, and provide excellent customer service in person and by phone.

The role requires accuracy, teamwork, and the ability to handle payments and safety situations; CPR/First Aid training will be provided on-site. This position reports to the Associate Member Services Director and supports program and philanthropic efforts at the Welcome Center.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; associate degree a plus.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• High degree of accuracy with information provided.
• Team player who is flexible, reliable and adaptable.
• Multi-task oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to problem solve and resolve conflicts.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.
• Experience with computers.
• CPR/AED, First aid certification; on-site training.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in members and guests in a friendly, professional manner.
• Provide customer service in person and on the phone.
• Manage Welcome Center and membership accounts; assist with program registrations.
• Process registrations and program transactions accurately.
• Handle payments and balance cash bag; maintain accuracy.
• Address member issues, emergencies, and report to supervisor.
• Document incidents and forward forms to HR and directors.
• Support daily event setup and maintain desk/lobby cleanliness.
• Contribute to safety and emergency response readiness.
