Job summary

The Madison Area YMCA is seeking a Wellness Coordinator in Madison, NJ to support the Fitness & Healthy Living Department, coordinate wellness programs, assist with staff, and ensure a welcoming member experience.

Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Health & Wellness, this Full Time role coordinates Personal Training operations, staff scheduling, class coverage, and program reporting, with Sunday availability required and opportunities to lead group exercise.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications required.
• Experience in health and wellness or related field preferred.
• Ability to build relationships with members and staff.
• Willingness to work mornings/evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day PT program operations with the Associate Director.
• Assist with member referrals, trainer assignments, scheduling, and PT promotions.
• Monitor participation trends to support engagement and program growth.
• Maintain records and assist with program reporting.
• Support staff recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and training.
• Assist with Group Exercise administration and instructor communications.
• Provide operational support to Fitness Center staff.
• Promote a positive team culture and exceptional member service.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies and risk management.
